The Voice of Fashion

The worlds of fashion and music often make a spectacular combination. Beyonce, Kylie and Madanna are natural targets for haute couture stylists, but what about our own home grown talent? Now the beautiful and talented soprano Emma Kate Tobia is bringing her own unigue Irish flair to the twin worlds of fashion to music.

Kinsale Soprano realises "Irish Dream" with new CD

It was an important evening for music because this was not just another CD. Recorded in St Multose Church, Kinsale, but also in the Aula Maxima UCC, it features Irish songs which were given quite unique and beautiful new arrangements magnificantly performed by Emma Kate Tobia with her lyrical and pure tone. The combination was stunning and deserved the widest audience. Lord Mayor of Cork Seán Martin expressed the hope that like Horslips and Riverdance, Emma Kate with Aisling na nGael would delight another generation of people who enjoyed Irish culture.

Album was reviewed by a panel of 4 including Pádraig Beathnach

I really enjoyed this album, it was a fresh new approach to songs that I have grown up with. I especially liked her Maighdean Mara, and the big choral rendition of "Óró, 's é do Bheatha 'Bhaile".
